BLANC is founded in London on a simple conviction: dry cleaning could be done differently, and better.
Marylebone opens
The first studio opens on George Street, with biodegradable wet cleaning from the start.
Notting Hill opens
A second studio opens on Lonsdale Road, a year after the first.

BLANC was founded in London in 2011. The first studio opened in Marylebone in 2013, followed by Notting Hill in 2014, Chelsea in 2020 and South Kensington in 2019.
BLANC cleans with liquid CO₂ and biodegradable wet cleaning, chosen for each garment. BLANC has never used perchloroethylene.
At the BLANC Atelier in West London, by our own specialists. A few specialist items are sent to carefully selected partners for additional care, and we ask for your authorisation first.
Four: Marylebone, Notting Hill, Chelsea and South Kensington. Chelsea is home to the specialist Bridal Studio, and prices are the same in all four studios.
Liquid CO₂ dissolves grease at low temperature without water, and the CO₂ is recaptured and reused after every cycle. Wet cleaning uses water and biodegradable detergents, with temperature and agitation controlled for the fabric. Each garment is inspected first, and the method is chosen for that piece.
