What Marylebone wardrobes require
Marylebone wardrobes hold tailored suiting, designer pieces, silk, cashmere, and occasion wear. A standard dry cleaner treats all of these the same way — perchloroethylene and machine pressing that degrades quality fabric with each cycle. BLANC assesses every garment individually, selects a cleaning method matched to its fabric, and finishes by hand. The garment is protected, not gradually worn down by the process meant to care for it.
BLANC’s first studio and the standard it set
Marylebone was where BLANC started in 2013, when the majority of London’s dry cleaners were using perchloroethylene. The studio on George Street was the first location to operate entirely without toxic solvents — liquid CO₂ and biodegradable wet cleaning from day one. The standard established here applies identically across every BLANC studio and at the Atelier. Every garment that enters any BLANC location receives the same individual assessment, the same non-toxic methods, and the same hand finishing that Marylebone pioneered.
Why cleaning happens at the Atelier, not in the studio
The Marylebone studio receives garments. The cleaning takes place at the BLANC Atelier at 16 Gorst Road, NW10 6LE — a dedicated facility with the controlled conditions, the specialist equipment, and the space to assess each garment individually. A studio that also operates as the cleaning room cannot offer that range of treatment. The separation is what allows a wool suit, a silk blouse, and a beaded evening dress to each receive a different method at a different temperature with a different finishing process, under the same roof.
Services at the Marylebone studio
- Dry cleaning: Non-toxic cleaning for suits, dresses, silk, cashmere, and delicate fabrics. No perchloroethylene — liquid CO₂ and biodegradable wet cleaning since 2013.
- Laundry, wash and fold, and shirt service: Everyday laundry and business shirts, cleaned, pressed, and finished to BLANC standard.
- In-store tailor: Hems, sleeve adjustments, re-lining, structural repairs, and specialist alterations. Walk-in consultations and fittings available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm.
- Designer and occasion wear: Individual assessment for embellished, structured, and high-value pieces.
- Leather, suede, and accessories: Specialist care for leather garments, accessories, and home textiles.
- Household textiles: Curtains, upholstery, bedding, and throws cleaned using the same non-toxic methods applied to garments.
24/7 self-service kiosk
The Marylebone studio is home to London’s only 24/7 self-service garment kiosk. Clients can drop off garments outside staffed hours and collect using a personal code, without waiting for the studio to open. For professionals whose schedules do not align with studio hours, the kiosk removes the constraint entirely — drop off at midnight, collect at six in the morning, manage garment care around your day rather than around ours.
How to use the Marylebone studio
Walk in at 79 George Street during opening hours for consultations, fittings, and on-the-spot quotes. No appointment is needed for standard drop-offs. For items that need assessment before cleaning — leather, occasion wear, or heavily stained pieces — bring them in and the team will confirm before any work begins. Outside staffed hours, the 24/7 self-service kiosk is available for drop-off and collection.
For collection from your address, schedule at blancliving.co or call 020 8004 2630. We collect, clean at the Atelier, and return every piece hand-finished to your door. Standard turnaround is two to four working days for most items. Complimentary collection and delivery across Marylebone and central London. Recurring collections are available weekly or twice weekly.

Yes. Tailored garments are individually assessed before cleaning. BLANC uses non-toxic methods that preserve the hand-stitched canvas, the drape, and the colour that conventional PERC-based cleaning degrades over time. The method is selected for the specific wool, the construction, and the finishing of that particular suit.
