Garment care · The City · EC1

Dry cleaning in the City, for suits that work harder than you do.

A suit worn four days a week in the Square Mile is cleaned more often than it should be and pressed harder than it should be, and it ages in a year. We collect from the City, clean with liquid CO₂ and no heat, and return tailoring that still looks like tailoring.

The City · Central London

Garment care for EC1, EC2, EC3 and EC4.

The City wardrobe has a particular problem: volume. Two or three suits in rotation, a dozen shirts, and a coat that goes everywhere from October to April. Most of it is cleaned by whoever is nearest the office, and the cost shows in shiny lapels, flattened shoulders and shirts with collars that have gone grey. Our Marylebone studio is the nearest of our four, but for the City the practical route is collection. Book from the desk, hand over at the door of your flat or your building’s concierge, and the tailoring comes back in 48 to 72 hours, inspected piece by piece and finished properly.

About dry cleaning →
01

Suits in rotation

Structured tailoring is cleaned with liquid CO₂, which lifts dirt at low temperature or water. No shrinkage at the canvas, no shine on the cloth, and the shoulder line is preserved.

02

Shirts by the dozen

A week of shirts, laundered with biodegradable detergents and finished at the Atelier. Choose hangers or folded, and set a standing weekly collection in the app.

03

The repair you keep postponing

A cuff that has gone at the edge, a trouser hem, a lining that has torn at the vent. Our tailors repair and alter, and we can collect it with the rest of the order.

The same care, whichever part of London you live in.

Every garment collected from The City goes to the same Atelier as every garment handed over the counter in our studios. It is inspected, cleaned by the method the fibre asks for, and finished before it comes back to you.

Before you book.

We collect from residential addresses and from buildings with a reception or concierge that can hand over and receive garments. Add the building instructions when you book, and collection and delivery are free on orders over £30.

Yes. A recurring collection can be set in the Blanc app for any EC postcode we serve. Shirts are laundered and finished at the Atelier and returned within 48 to 72 hours.

With liquid CO₂, which cleans under pressure at low temperature. There is no heat to shrink the chest canvas and no solvent residue in the cloth, so the jacket keeps its structure.

Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours from collection to delivery. Leather and suede take longer, and large or delicate household pieces such as rugs are quoted individually at booking.

Two. Liquid CO₂ dry cleaning, which works at low temperature and is gentle on fine fibres, and professional wet cleaning with biodegradable detergents. We have never used PERC, the conventional dry cleaning solvent.
