White City, we’ve done it again! On February 1st, we are once again expanding our horizons as we open the doors to our fourth BLANC concept store - and we are beyond excited!
Our vision of quite literally cleaning up the industry by enabling a healthy and natural dry cleaning option for all of London is one step further.
We’re blown away by the response that we received in Chelsea since we launched in September 2017 and are beyond grateful for each and every one of our customers who has paid a visit to our stores in Marylebone, Notting Hill, and Chelsea so far. We are now looking forward to welcoming our new White City store customers into the BLANC family.
Our new store - in a listed building, nothing less
Located only a two-minute walk from Wood Lane Station and Westfield, a four-minute walk from White City Station and with great bus connections, you will find us in the Helios - at the heart of the iconic Television Centre, the former home of the BBC in London.
After a three-year transformation, Television Centre has reopened as a mixed-use development. It is at the heart of an £8 billion ten-year regeneration of the wider White City area, which has formed a new hub of activity, creativity and academia in west London. A thriving neighbourhood which welcomes the arrival of new shops, restaurants and educational facilities, White City is becoming an exciting and dynamic destination even beyond the shopping galore of Westfields London.
Television Centre is one of London’s historical landmarks, and the combination of respecting its past at the same time as bringing contemporary, modern spaces to it is what inspired us to join the community. We are honoured to be part of a community that truly cares about sustainability, heritage, design and technology - all things after our own heart.
What is there to do in White City?
So what else can you expect from your new area if you have just moved to White City (and if not, why should you move there)? Well, TVC is the new west London hotspot... we’ll be rubbing elbows with some pretty exciting neighbours ourselves.
For fashion addicts, Westfield, THE London shopping destination, is just three minutes away by foot. You can spend an absolute age in there given how spoilt for choice you are for food (their food court contains the entire world-map, from Spanish tapas to Indian dahl, Chinese wok to American cheeseburgers), shops (our partners Sandro and Claudie Pierlot have been there for years now), lifestyle (gym, spa, Waitrose) and entertainment (Vue Cinema).
Once you are done with your shopping, you can opt to go for the live recording of your choice and the BBC Studioworks (yes! This is where they record ITV Daytime Shows, The Graham Norton Show and Celebrity Juice). Or if you’re lucky enough to be a Soho House member, head straight to the top floor for a dip in the rooftop pool and a cocktail at stylish White City House (right opposite of us in the Helios! Yay!)
As for the foodies, our new neighbourhood brings a selection of restaurants for all occasions, including Bluebird’s second edition or the Allis for sophisticated cocktails and luxurious interiors, or head over to Patty & Bun and Homeslice for London’s finest fast food whenever you’re in the mood.
